If you have to be outside watering your Spring flowers, why not spread some watery love to your closet?! 

Lately I have been loving the colorfully whimsical watercolor pieces that have been popping up all over.  The blended colors bring a great new twist to the traditional floral print and just exude Springtime cheer! Painting with watercolors was my favorite kindergarten activity, but why should we let the kids have all the fun?! It may no longer be appropriate to sit at my desk and play around with watercolor paints all day but styling myself in a watercolor skirt seems like a must!

1 Dress 2 Ways - Casual

Here is Day 1 of styling this fun Target dress in two unique ways!

DIY: 30 Minute Maxi

Maxi dresses are one of my favorite styles for Spring & Summer.  

They are effortless, breezy, stylish, and incredibly easy to dress up or down. 

I have always loved the look, but my height posed a challenge to finding a long-enough dress. Last year, I gave up and decided to make my own, and I ended up loving the results!  

Last weekend I decided to whip together another maxi with this super colorful fabric, and I have already worn it more times than I can count... 

This dress is amazingly easy, and with basic sewing skills & a sewing machine you could easily finish within 30 minutes.  With zero sewing skills it may take about an hour or two, but thats still less time than it takes to navigate the mall!

2. A pop of neon shoes can never hurt..
3. This messy half-up fishtail is a must for a Spring picnic.

Life lately according to my phone...

1. Super colorful & happy Easter eggs!

2. Spring skiing trip to Lake Tahoe! The best view in the world from Diamond Peak resort.

3. Spring colors have returned to my work wardrobe.  One of my favorite combinations has been grey & light pink.

Friday Favorites

Since Spring is official here, it is time to bring out the pink pants and fruity treats!

The arrival of Spring has inspired me to come up with fun outfit combinations and I have been dying to try out some tasty new recipes. 

Here are my favorite finds of the week... What are yours?!

1. Try out this fresh & tasty lemon cake to ring in the beginning of Spring

2.  Add bright colors to your daily style to seamlessly transition from Winter to Spring.  This teal and pink combination is perfect!
